I originally started this blog for my family to keep track of what we're up to. We have some family that live a little too far for regular visits and I applied some simple SEO to the articles. As a result the traffic has increased to a point where it simply cannot be just family and friends visiting the site.
This blog is just a little update about what I've been up to.
Well, after 5 years with the SWW I left my position as Sales and Marketing Director on January 4th. I started over 5 years before on September 28th 2013 as a marketing administrator and worked very hard to help drive the SWW forward. I was fortunate enough to work with some amazing people and have learnt some very valuable lessons.
One of the most incredible lessons is that no matter how you think your life will pan out, it may not be quite as you think. I never expected to run my first shop at 22 or to be invited to become the director of a national trade association at 28. Nor did I expect to have a child and I certainly didn't think he would change our lives as much as he has.
2019 has got to have some amazing things in store. I'm certainly not rushing into anything and am really enjoying the time
Over the last few months, I've spent time creating a website called www.thebusinessninja.co.uk to provide content and ideas to SMEs and I've developed a real passion for it. Initially, I did this in my spare time and tested out simple marketing and SEO principles but the traffic is now such that it's providing useful content for lots of SMEs and we've got great exhibitors on board.
I can't take all of the credit though. Both this site and The Business Ninja were developed by a good friend of mine called Tom at Win Win Websites. He helps me keep the site updated and does all of the 'hard work' on it.
Long term I plan to sell the site and focus on other ventures including property.
As I've said in Harry's blog, it's all been rather hectic but we're going to get back to a more regular blog, we promise.
