We're very fortunate to be surrounded by the supportive family that we have in our lives.
Recently we were lucky enough to have a week away at Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forest with some of these.
It would be Harry's first holiday and our first trip away this year. What's better, we were getting to spend time celebrating Big Dave the light man's 65th. - For those that don't know, Dave is my Father in Law and one of the nicest and most supportive guys I know.
So our Center Parcs week started on Monday. We arrived and made our way to the lodge. We were told to park there for the time being because there was no space in the car park. We did just that.
We then made the short journey to the Country club and sat down to our first beverage of the holiday. A delicious pint of Guinness to start the relaxing week away.
We started to let our hair down and began planning what to do during the week.
Center Parcs was decked out for Christmas and they do it marvelously. The whole place is decorated and it feels magical. There were real reindeer (Ben was our favourite), and Santa has a grotto there too. Here we're just a couple of my favourite snaps of the decorations and they probably don't do it justice.
The week away was action packed and we crammed as much in as possible. Archery, Falconry, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Bowling, Squash, Swimming and most importantly, family time.
We all took turns cooking throughout the week and had chill time in the lodge when we weren't cooking.
On the Tuesday I started to come down with a bit of Man Flu but some sleep and a couple of beers sorted it out.
I did feel a little concious when the house keepers came in and saw this little lot every morning
Here are some of my favourite pictures from the week.
A fantastic week away with fab family and lots of memories.
